In July of 2012 the SAM Registration will go into effect; this integrates many systems within the federal government that were previously separated. The SAM Registration will be implemented in two phases:

ORCA – Online Representations and Certification Application
EPLS – Excluded Parties List System
Phase 2
CFDA – Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance
ESRS – Electronic Subcontracting Reporting System
FBO – Federal Business Opportunities
FPDS-NG – Federal Procurement Data Systems
PPIRS – Past Performance Retrieval System
WDOL – Wage Determination Online.gov
This integration will make the federal government more efficient in dealing with its vendors.
